The Haddon Heights Library is upgrading its Integrated Library System (ILS) on Monday, November 14. An ILS is the software that manages the library catalog, patron records, circulation records, payments and the interaction of those elements. You can learn more about an ILS here.
Almost everything that library staff and patrons do happens in the ILS. This is where you search the catalog, check items in and out and access eBooks. Our current ILS is being discontinued, which has given us the opportunity to switch to a very powerful Open Source ILS called Koha. Click here to learn more about Koha.
Once Koha launches on November 14, you will be able to search our catalog more easily with many more features available. Please note: PINS that you may have used for online functions will no longer work. Please contact the library for your new password so you can log in to your account.
As with any new system, there will probably be a few hiccups. If you come across any, please let us know so we can take care of them.
This is a very exciting time for us and for you as this new system will allow many new features. Our website will also be upgraded in the next few weeks, brining along with it a host of new features. Keep an eye out for that. If you have any questions, please contact the library at 856-547-7132.
